Sporting CP, the only Portuguese team in the competition, reached the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League. The Lisbon team eliminated Bodø/Glimt, from Norway, in an incredible comeback in Lisbon. After a 3-0 defeat in Norway, the lions ended up winning 5-0, in extra time, and reached the quarterfinals. The Sporting CP goals were scored by Portuguese Gonçalo Inácio, Pedro Gonçalves and Rafael Nel, Colombian Luis Suárez and Uruguayan Maxi Araújo. Now, Sporting CP will face Arsenal, from England, in the quarterfinals. The match will be played between 07 and 08 April. Liverpool, facing PSG, beat Galatasaray 4-0, while Paris Saint-Germain eliminated Chelsea 8-2 in the two-legged tie. Spanish Real Madrid eliminated English Manchester City 5-1, German Bayern Munich beat Italian Atalanta 10-2, Spanish FC Barcelona beat British Newcastle 8-3 and Spanish Atlético Madrid eliminated English Tottenham 7-5.
